Recently I have been living by this motto of the art of noticing.

Wedding photography is more than just the click of a camera. It’s an art, a skill, and a craft that at its core, is about the art of noticing. It’s the ability to see beyond the obvious, to capture the intangible and to preserve your happiest moments in life.

The Unseen
In the whirlwind of your wedding day, there are many moments that often elude the untrained eye. They are the way you and your partner’s fingers brush as you exchange glances during the ceremony, a hug from your best friends, or your grandmother’s tear-filled eyes during your first dance. These are the precious fragments of time that, when captured, speak volumes about the love and connection shared between you and your loved ones.

Noticing Composition
Noticing extends beyond the realm of raw emotions. It also encompasses the composition of an image. It’s about playing around with different lights and shadows, noticing the symmetry within a shot, and the small details that add depth to a photograph. It’s the way your veil catches the gentle breeze, your ring bearer’s tiny fingers clutching the ring pillow, or the two of you framed perfectly within a beautiful arched tree.

The Candid Moments
Noticing in wedding photography is about celebrating the beautifully imperfect moments. The dance battles, the in-between moments, the candid laughter that arises when things don’t go as planned. This genuine experience you share with those closest to you is what makes your wedding uniquely yours.

Storytelling
Your wedding is a unique love story, waiting to be told through my photographs. I strive to weave together the moments, emotions, and details into a gallery that tells your story, one that will transport you back to the emotions you felt on that special day, even decades later. It’s about preserving the authentic, unfiltered moments that define your love story and allowing those moments to live on for generations to come.

The art of noticing is more than just a skill, it’s a way of seeing and experiencing the world; Because when we’re all old and wrinkly, these photographs will hold the essence of our youth and the stories of our lives. The snapshots of old memories and moments will remind us of the laughter, the tears, and the love that has defined our journey.

Let’s start the conversation about your journey today!
