Glamis Sand Dunes – The Session That Received so Much Love

For years I’ve been wanting to do a session at the Glamis Sand Dunes but I had no one to model for me. After meeting the beautiful Sharay at a branding session, I asked if her and her husband, John, would be open to making my dream come true. They said yes so we scheduled our session and headed off to the desert. I brought along my friend, Matteo Freschi, who shot the most amazing video for me which you’ll find on my website!

So many things wen’t sideways for this shoot. The dress we wanted wasn’t right, there were people on dune buggies and their tracks were everywhere, the sun was setting so fast + we couldn’t decide on a place to shoot. But, we made the most of it and the session turned out AMAZING! One thing I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older is to always look at the “glass half full”. I could’ve easily let the overwhelm get to me and accept that my vision wasn’t coming to life the way I wanted it to, but instead we just worked with what we had and that positive mindset changed everything.

This dune session was the MOST positive feedback I have ever received from all of my work thus far. I had people sending DMs, texts, reposting, commenting, sharing, some of these people I had never even met! I had never experienced anything like it! This session has naturally become the face of my brand and I can’t thank Sharay, John and Matteo enough for being so willing to collaborate with me on this idea. It will forever be my favorite photos ever taken.
