Aimee and Gonzalo flew in from Utah for their engagement session, and from the second we met up it felt like we’d known each other forever. They wanted a mix of classic architecture and coastal views, so we spent the afternoon bouncing between Balboa Park and Santa Cruz Cliffs, chasing the best light and honestly just having a lot of fun together!

We walked around Balboa Park first, weaving through the architecture and gardens while the afternoon light started to soften. Then we headed to the Point Loma just in time for that golden glow over the ocean. The light was unreal, and they were completely wrapped up in each other in the sweetest way. Everything felt easy and natural — the kind of session where nothing feels forced and every photo just fits.

These are still some of my favorite engagement photos I’ve ever taken. Aimee and Gonzalo were such a joy to photograph, and their energy made the whole afternoon feel effortless. Sessions like this are why I love engagement shoots — getting to explore beautiful places with genuinely kind people and turning it into something they’ll have forever.
