Alex and Jaxx reached out while they were visiting San Diego on their baby moon and wanted to document this season with a maternity session. I love when couples choose to turn a trip into something meaningful like this — it makes the photos feel tied to a memory they’ll always come back to!

The soft clouds gave us the prettiest, even light, and everything felt calm and intimate. I shot on both digital and film, which added such a beautiful mix of textures to their gallery. There was a quiet excitement between them the entire session…That sweet in-between feeling of traveling together, slowing down, and getting ready to meet their baby.
