Phoenix and Nick’s anniversary session at Treasure Island Beach in Laguna felt extra special from the start. I first met Phoenix a few years ago at a photo content retreat, and we stayed in touch ever since. When she and Nick came out to Malibu to celebrate their 10-year anniversary, they decided to turn the trip into something memorable with a couple’s session on the coast. Laguna Beach gave us the perfect setting: glowing sunset light, bright blue water, and dramatic cliffs that framed every moment beautifully.

From the second we started shooting, their connection was effortless. Phoenix and Nick were playful, relaxed, and completely wrapped up in each other, which made photographing them feel natural and easy. The sunset only added to the magic — warm light spilling over the cliffs while the ocean stretched out behind them. They were so excited seeing previews throughout the session and kept talking about how meaningful it felt to capture this milestone together.

By the end of the evening, it felt less like a photoshoot and more like documenting a chapter of their story. Phoenix and Nick were incredibly kind and appreciative, already imagining these images framed around their home as reminders of their trip and their decade together!
