This shoot at The Lafayette Hotel & Club was everything I love creatively — bold, nostalgic, glamorous, and still effortlessly chic. The inspiration pulled from old Hollywood glam with a coastal twist: vintage silhouettes, bold colors, and that timeless, cinematic energy that feels like it belongs in another era. Every detail was intentionally designed to feel cinematic but still effortless.
Amanda and Poan absolutely brought the vision to life. Amanda’s fiery red hair against the colorful backdrop of the hotel was iconic. Her glam by Anthology Bridal and Makeup by Linda Joy leaned into that polished, vintage feel without looking overdone — glowing skin, soft structure, and hair that moved beautifully in the breeze. She wore a gown from Archive Bridal that felt chic and vintage at the same time, while Poan’s look from Friar Tux grounded everything with a clean, classic edge.
The tones of the pool deck, the patterned tile, the pastel walls — everything complemented her in a way that felt intentional but not over-styled. Florals by Daydream Florals added the perfect romantic texture, tying together the colors of the hotel’s landscape. Amanda and Poan both had such a natural presence in front of the camera, which made it easy to lean into movement and let moments unfold organically.
We started around the pool deck, soaking up that retro Palm Springs-meets-coastal vibe, then ran through the red velvet hallways that make the Lafayette so distinct. To finish, Amanda changed into a smaller dress from Archive Bridal and we shifted into something a little more intimate in the hotel room — drinks poured, cake from Tricia Rae Baking Co. on the table, music playing in the background. It felt playful, elevated, and just the right amount of indulgent.
The entire shoot was captured by myself — Olivia Marie Photography Inc. — on both digital and 35mm film, which added so much depth to the final gallery. The digital images gave us crisp, vibrant color, while the film added grain, softness, and that nostalgic texture that perfectly matched the concept. Blending both formats is one of my favorite ways to elevate a creative session — it gives the work dimension and a timeless quality you can’t quite replicate.
Shoots like this are why I love collaborating with an intentional vendor team. When every element — from glam to florals to wardrobe — aligns with the vision, the result feels intimate, authentic, and iconic.
